Jobs Descriptions


  1. Reports directly to and communicates
    with the Front Office Manager on all pertinent matters affecting guest
    service and hotel operations.
  2. Provides functional assistance and
    direction to all departments.
  3. Cooperates, coordinates and communicates
    with other hotel departments as required.
  4. Reacts to situations to ensure guests
    receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel.
  5. Responds to guest needs and resolves
    related problems maintaining record for management.
  6. Supervises and directs Reception
    personnel.
  7. Supports and assists Front Office
    personnel and all departments at peak periods.
  8. Ensures guest and Hotel Club Member
    guests receive special attention.
  9. Inspects front of house and back of
    house, lobby, front entrance and rooms regularly for cleanliness and
    maintains record through Inspection reports.
  10. Assists Guest Relation in greeting,
    rooming and sending off guests.
  11. Monitors appropriate standards of
    conduct, uniform, hygiene and appearance of employee.
  12. Provides input for Front Office
    meetings.
  13. Promotes inter-hotel sales and in-house
    facilities.
  14. Checks billing instructions and monitors
    guest credit daily and checks report.
  15. Analyses and approves discounts and
    rebates.
  16. Analyses the rate potential revenue
    report to ensure room revenue is controlled.
  17. Takes action with the Property
    Management System (PMS) in emergency situations.
  18. Fully conversant with all hotel
    emergency procedures.
  19. Ensures front line employee complies
    with FIT Marketing techniques and maximize sales.
  20. Ensures Business Center is controlled in
    absence of the administrator.
  21. In absence of Reservation employee,
    checks all incoming faxes and reply if urgent.
  22. Ensures system Back-up save is done
    daily as scheduled and maintain a record.
  23. Assists guest in having access to
    Internet.
  24. Assists guest in resolving any
    difficulties with the Safety Box in the room.
  25. Coordinates with outlets in keeping the
    linen back at the Laundry during late at night.
  26. Assists other outlets in opening the
    stores and maintain proper records.
  27. Ensures hotel mail is checked regularly
    and forwarded to appropriate departments.
  28. Ensures the master key record is
    maintained and all keys signed in and out without exception.
  29. Checks all correspondence for following
    days arrivals ensuring all requests are met and rooms are correctly
    assigned.
  30. Controls room allocations.
  31. Ensures all hotel Limousines are to
    standard before departing hotel and charges are posted correctly.
  32. Holds daily briefings.
  33. Ensures room and taxes are posted correctly
    on bills.
  34. Ensures all employees are aware of daily
    functions.
  35. Ensures guests observe the hotel dress
    code.
