Jobs Descriptions


  1. Monitors cleanliness and repair of
    Lobby, Front Desk and Back Office areas.
  2. Ensures room's revenue is accounted for
    by monitoring departures report and that employee are following correct
    credit procedures on day of departure and nightly credit check.
  3. Regular print-out of back up reports on
    a shift to shift basis.
  4. Works closely with Housekeeping for an
    efficient turnaround of rooms and room status.
  5. Effectively communicates and disperses
    all and any relevant information via shift handover, log books, guest
    history, traces and by attending the regular Shift Leaders meetings.
  6. Ensures GSA's have balanced their work
    prior to their departure and assist them where needed.
  7. Ensures that all billing instructions
    are accurate and clear.
  8. Reports any potential credit risks
    immediately to Reception Manager or Credit Manager.
  9. Maintains and Balances Shift Leader
    float.
  10. Ensures there is sufficient supply of
    stationary and hotel keys.
  11. Carries out room inspections to assist
    in maintaining a high standard of guest room cleanliness.
  12. Assists with the co-ordination of the
    day to day operations of the Reception Desk according to Front Office
    Standards and Procedures.
  13. Inspects VIP rooms prior to arrival, and
    meet and greet VIP guests on arrival.
  14. Reviews all in-house accounts to ensure
    correct room rates are charged.
  15. Encourage selling of Hotel outlets and
    facilities.
  16. Effectively deals with guest problems
    and complaints immediately.
